We KTCT ALUMNI members participated enthusiastically in a special event conducted on the occasion of Ugadi at KTCT Primary School, in 9, Narayana Mudali Street, Chennai-1. Cheerful Children welcomed us with their innocent, pure, and lovely smile.
“Ugadi Pachchadi” is one such dish that has become synonymous with Ugadi. This year and in the past few years it’s our Member Smt. Banu Subramaniyam who brings the ugadhi pachchadi and the festive mood.
The celebration began with Welcome address by our President Smt.N. Padmalatha. She engaged the children with story narration, and gifts were presented to the students who answered the Questionnaire session at the end.
Smt. Sarala 1st Vice President conducted a quiz to children. Smt. Malathi conducted games to Teachers.All of them enjoyed thoroughly, Children were very happy to see their teachers participating as they do. Smt. G. Surekha, Legal Advisor honoured the Toppers of 1st std and 5th std with Gold shield and silver medal by Gudivada Padmavathi Ramachandran Educational Endowment, through Alumni. This encouragement, motivates students to achieve greater heights. Last but not least, Children were given Goodies like A pencil Pouch along with Pencil, Scale, Eraser, and Sharpener by Smt. Mallika Siva Prakash, 2nd Vice President. Smt. Sujatha Ramesh Babu Past President sponsored Biscuit Packets to all the Students.
Students game gifts, Teachers ugadhi Gifts were sponsored by Smt.Srilakshmi Mohan Rao. Teachers game gifts were sponsored by Mrs.Malathi. Mrs.Sathyavardhini contributed Rs.1000/- for this occasion. And Chocolates by our members.
As the saying goes “The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals”. Let’s celebrate the festivals not only for fun, but understand it’s importance. This is a small step in passing the Legacy to the Younger generations.
