The Fifth Successful Anniversary of Our Alumni Prathiba-2017 was held at SKP college for arts and science on Sunday 19th February 2017 The celebrations started at 10am. The Chief Guest was Mr.Harish Uthaman the Young Villan of Film Industry. the guest of honor was Mr.Shakthi Amaran, Top 10 AIRTEL Super Singer Contestant. The president Mrs.Mallikaa Keshab Chander welcomed the gathering, secretary Mrs.Latha Balaji presented the Secretary’s report and the Joint Secretary Mrs.Padmavathy delivered the Vote of Thanks.
The Chief Guest Mr.Harish Uthaman delivered his crisp, energetic and charismatic speech, he advised all the children to do what they are most interested in and work hard for better results. The guest of honor Mr.Shakthi Amaran along with Mr. Thrilok Nath enthralled the audience with their melodious voice. We are very proud to say that Mr.Thrilok Nath is the son of our alumnus Mrs.E Sarala. our Vice president Mrs.Padma Latha was honored with a medal for her effort in getting the mike system for the school. Down The Memory Lane was released by these two handsome young men, Harish Uthaman and Shakthi Amaran The first copies were presented to famous industrialist Mr and Mrs Shankar Rao Garu, our ex-correspondent Mr.Mannar Udhay Kumar Garu and our correspondent Mr and Mrs.Desu Lakshmi Narayana Garu.
It was a gala function all our members participated and they put in a lot of efforts to make it a grand success. It is the tradition of our alumni to present the awards every year to the most talented people of our school in recognition of their contribution to the school. The awards for this year: VANITHA KISHORAM Awardees for the year 2017-18 are; Smt. Ashwini Kumari, Smt.Raama Priya and Smt. Surekha. Smt. Surekha the Legal advisor of our Alumni, created fund on her own of Rs. 50,000 in the name of her late father Mr. Gudivada Ramachandra CHETTY Garu , she promised that the accumulated interest will be given as a cash incentive to the toppers of 1st and 6th standard students of KTCT Girls Higher Secondary School every year. Thanks to her again. for the year 2017-18 are; Teachers who are currently working; Smt. V. Revathi Bala, Smt. D. Bharathi, Smt. G.Sumathi. Retired Teachers who were awarded with BEST TEACHER AWARD; Smt C.M.Indumathi, Smt.Sakunthala.
This year we introduced Posthumous award which was awarded to none other than our retired Late H.M. Mrs. Ramadevi Garu. This award was received by her husband and the father of our advisory board member Mrs. Anila. Her brother spoke about our beloved H.M.Mrs.Ramadevi Garu which brought out most amazing personality in front of our eyes. He shared most memorable moments of his life which brought out the tears of many. Members who are 70 years and above are given these awards.This year these awards were presented to Mrs.Makham Hemalatha and Mrs. Kankipati Shanthakumari Venkatakrishna. This years best student awardees are B.Venkata Ushasree of 12th Std commerce, C.H.Bhargavi of 11th std Computer Science, V. Mounika of 10th Std Telugu Medium.
The primary aim of conducting anniversary is to bring out the talents of the children and reunion of friends. This 5th anniversary of our alumni fulfilled both. The fun filled events conducted were Movie enacting, Dandia. Embroidery on Hand Kerchief and Jewellery making There was festivity everywhere, the children participated in all the funfilled events with great enthusiasm. It was amazing seeing them perform on the stage. they were quite imaginative. All the participants danced like professional dancers. Embroidery on the hand kerchief proved and brought out their real talent, it was professional. Jewellery making was real feast to our eye. Alumni conducted Tambola the all time favorite among our students and members. All of them participated, many of them won attractive prizes too. There was spot surprises also. Every Year we encourage women entrepreneurs to exhibit their Handicrafts, Jewellery, Clothing and Eatery Free of cost. This year also these entrepreneurs were there to pull the crowd KTCT Alumni Association sincerely thanks all the Advertisers, Donors, Sponsors, Alumni Members, Management of KTCT Girls Higher Secondary School, Management and Staff of SKP College for Arts and Science. Last but not the least my special thanks goes to the members who traveled all the way from out station to Chennai to participate and encourage our alumni. Our alumni is expecting this continued support, encouragement and patronage from all of you. This anniversary was the most memorable one to all of us in many ways. I pray to God to shower his blessings on all of us.
